Q. Do I have an option for deductions?
- e.g. The number of pay periods for deductions, pay for the whole ticket in one pay period.
A. The payroll option is only available for opt-in from June 26 to August 22 through CovenantFoundationLotteryPayroll.ca. All opt-in orders will be deducted from your Covenant Health, Covenant Care, or Covenant Living payroll across 4 even payments on September 1, September 15, September 29 and October 13. If you wish to purchase tickets in one payment, it can be done through the public site CovenantFoundationLottery.ca but not via payroll.
Q. I am casual, can I participate?
A. No.
Q. If I do not have any hours in one of the pay periods, will my ticket be cancelled?
A. If an individual does not have sufficient payroll to cover a deduction in a pay period, the individual is notified via email from Covenant Foundation Lottery Customer Service that their order is cancelled. Any amounts deducted to date will be refunded and the individual can still buy a ticket after using public payment methods like CovenantFoundationLottery.ca or
780-944-2774 (8am to 11pm, 7 days a week).
Q. Do I have to buy tickets through payroll deduction or can I submit a payment for the whole ticket?
A. All payroll orders are deducted from Covenant payroll across 4 even payments on September 1, September 15, September 29 and October 13. If you wish to purchase tickets in one payment, it can be done through the public site CovenantFoundationLottery.ca but it cannot be done via payroll.
Q. I also work for AHS, can I have my deductions come from my AHS pay?
A. Payment deductions must come entirely from Covenant paycheques.
Q. How does my ticket purchase benefit Covenant Health?
A. Funds from lottery sales will go towards improving seniors care at the 21 facilities Covenant supports throughout Alberta, helping enhance leading-edge care, enrich lives and reduce social isolation for friends, family and loved ones who are part of Alberta’s fastest growing age demographic.
